We’ve been working on this article for quite a long time. Last year we’ve posted many articles about fashion trends and so we ll continue keeping our readers informed about this year’s and more specificly this winter’s fashion trends.
Ralph Lauren Fall 2011: Ironic that in a season when young designers are riffing on American themes, Ralph Lauren — let’s call him the Captain America of fashion — opted for a Far Eastern journey. Namely, the Orient. It made for a dramatic collection, starting with the lacquer-black runway.
Reed Krakoff Fall 2011: While he worked in a neutral palette of cool grays and shades of camel, pops of teal and purple looked especially cool in the lineup and were a great complement to the muted tones. A teal sweater and wrap skirt looked especially effortless and chic.
Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011: There were the requisite Fall 2011 plaid showings but done as long, loose trousers. Here, the great look of the pants, not the ubiquitous pattern was the news. Also important were his coats—cropped peas, long trenches, sturdy winter wools, all of them pretty terrific.
Vera Wang Fall 2011: And Wang’s feeling moody again, meaning she worked in a black-to-taupe palette that actually perfectly displayed the intricate pleats and tucks of her fly-away dresses.
