Saudi designer Mohammad Ashi is one of my favorite designers. His collections are intricate and his play with fabrics are spectacular. This collection, Mode 2, is very sweet and romantic filled with a mixture of light, flowing fabrics and some structured pieces. Mode 2 is inspired by “A Bird came down the Walk”, a poem written by Emily Dickinson. Ashi said, “The limitless and genius imagination of Dickinson helped me realized the image of the wild bird in her poem in fifteen pieces, using feathers and soft fabrics to capture the birds effect in a dramatic mood.”.
