For Louis Vuitton the women’s offerings have always eclipsed the men’s, but judging by the famed French fashion house’s latest runway show in Paris stylish gentlemen will have something to celebrate come next spring.
At the presentation Vuitton unveiled a stunning selection of men’s bags evoking the image of a debonair global traveler. With a subdued color palette of gray, brown and green, the collection had an appealing classicism and understated elegance betokening considerable expense. In yet another evolution of Vuitton’s iconic monogram pattern, some bags sported larger-scale and faded versions in a washed denim fabric with leather straps and detailing. Other bags featured chinoiserie designs by tattoo artist Scott Campbell, the latest Vuitton collaborator, and enlarged archival Louis Vuitton logos. See the gallery for pix.
