Jakob Wagner Studio and Their Awesome Accessories

Born in Copenhagen in 1963, Jakob did his first degree in Design-Engineering. After studies and internships in Colorado, Milan and Paris he completed his second degree in Product Design at Art Center Europe, Switzerland in 1992. Established in 1993 in Copenhagen the studio predominantly worked with high tech products for sport, professional and medical applications the first 10 years. A gradual shift in focus towards the home has led to an extensive line of products for Alessi, Bang & Olufsen, Menu, Muuto and Stelton and furniture projects for Cappellini, B&B Italia, Moroso and Hay among others.

Jakobs work has been exhibited internationally and has received numerous awards (3 Red Dot, 2 IF, Bundespries, Designer of the year etc) and is included in the permanent exhibition at MOMA New York. The Studio aims to create meaningful products with substance that challenge both our mind and our senses by being simple to perceive yet sophisticated to figure out. The goal is products with inherent natural beauty that touch us emotionally and give us joy when using.

About Just Mobile

Just Mobile started life in 2005 with a simple mission: to create the most stylish mobile accessories in the world. Back in 2005, that meant making stuff for Windows Mobile phones. Then the iPhone arrived and we fell head-over-heels in love. We put all our old projects aside, and began work on creating the most beautiful possible stand to show off Apple’s little wonder. The result was the Xtand™ – it won a bunch of awards and, more importantly, took pride of place on the desks of thousands of iPhone fans. We’ve never looked back. These days, the Just Mobile collection includes over 30 product lines, many of which have won prestigious awards, and we sell premium accessories in every major market in the world – including The Apple Store and even the MoMA design store. Our design objects range from AluPen – the iconic tablet stylus – to the Gum family of stylish backup batteries for iPhones and iPads. And we are constantly challenging ourselves to create the next must-have accessory. From our design teams in Europe to our bespoke manufacturing facility in Taiwan, everything that we do is guided by our vision to unify form and function – and then sprinkle a little joy on top. Because that’s the best way we can think of to create iconic accessories suitable for iconic products: accessories for life. Below you may find some of their products.

AluRack – The laptop mount for Apple iMac and Thunderbolt Display

The Just Mobile AluRack™ is the innovative rear storage solution for your Apple iMac or Thunderbolt Display. This ingenious rack, designed in Denmark by the award-winning Jakob Wagner, allows you to mount a laptop or external drive to the rear of your display.

The two-piece AluRack™ screws together through the hole in the stand of your iMac or Apple Display, creating a solid shelf without causing any damage to your computer. Crafted from high-grade aluminum and anti-scratch TPR cradie, AluRack is the perfect compliment to your iconic computer kit and the ideal way to keep your desk clutter-free.

AluBase – The upright MacBook stand

AluBase™ is the vertical stand for Apple MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.

Crafted from a single piece of high-grade aluminum, the AluBase™ ships with plastic inserts to hold MacBook Pro, MacBook Pro with Retina display and MacBook Air firmly upright.

Conceived by the award-winning Danish designer Jakob Wagner, AluBase™ is designed to turn your MacBook into a desktop sculpture. It’s the most stylish solution for storing your iconic laptop, and an elegant way to use your MacBook with an external monitor and keyboard.
