Sean Lotman a writer and photographer from Los Angeles, California, based in Kyoto, Japan. Like a lot of photographers, Sean is self-taught. He exclusively shoots film (both the Diana f+ and a Nikon f3). His work is mostly captured in Asia, primarily in Japan, India, and the Middle East.
Coming from a literary background, Sean thrives to combine his visual and linguistic talents. Linked on his website are his ‘haikus,’ paired with Diana photos. He feels Haiku poetry, like photography, has an instant, strong, fairly emotional resonance. Put together, they enhance each other’s power so that, very briefly, a story is told.
