Patrick Ackmann is a German Art Director, who has worked for international advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy and Euro RSCG. Pat grew up in a small town near Berlin, climbing the cities rare trees and building urban tents. Always interested in creating things and being bored of school he was founding a design company with 16 years, creating websites and other content for middle weight businesses. Doing that for 3 years and after finishing school he moved to London where he was teaching theatre lessons, sports and German at a local school for one year. In that time he also managed to visit the Putney Collage of Art and Design for one term.Coming back to Germany he moved to Frankfurt and started an internship at Saatchi & Saatchi. His original plans were to study communication design afterwards, but he made great friends with a British account manager who had a passion for writing. Sitting together after work and brainstorming ideas, they were winning their first awards and the agency decided to make them a creative team.
Thrown into the first European wide jobs on T-Mobile, Pat soon decided to skip university plans and to take the shortcut by continuing with what he was doing. Since than Pat has been working together with Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel and has been involved in shooting 3 music videos for bands such as Blue King Brown and The Cazals. Some of the clients Pat was working on are: Sony Ericsson, T-Mobile, Toyota, Volvo, Fleurop and MTV.
Producing a good amount of outstanding visuals and very interesting TV ideas, he always liked to think in different medias as well. Doing so he developed installations such as the Piss Screen – an interactive driving game installed in pubs and bars. Pat loves to work internationally, enjoys traveling, great music and simply to meet people.
